Meet your Neighbors!
Ambergris Caye is the largest and most developed of the 200 cayes in Belize. This tropical paradise started as a small fishing village in the early 70’s and has since become the #1 island in the world ranked by many top publications. Today, Ambergris Caye has become one of the most desirable destinations in the world, and many are calling it home. At Grand Baymen, when you become an owner at Grand Baymen, you become part of a community. You can meet some of your neighbors below!
Jessica & Susan
Sue and I are current residents (QRP) of Belize residing in country, andare thoroughly enjoying our independent lifestyle. We hail from Phoenix, AZ and Antonio, TX where we our investment here as an income opportunity in one of this hemisphere’s most desirable markets; close to the US, and have children which we visit with once or twice a year. As owners at Grand Baymen, we see but generally enjoy ourselves out in the Cayo where we are on a ‘permanent’ retiree vacation. We occasionally use our condo for a short ‘beach’ vacation.
Al & Mimi
Home is Pittsburgh, Pa. for us where Mimi is a Consultant for Cultural Care Au Pair and Al is a retired General Manager of a Chemical Company and a Rotarian. Awhile back we vacationed at Ambergris Caye and loved the beauty and atmosphere of the area. Grand Baymen is a great way to enjoy all this without breaking the bank.”

After doing some research on ECI Development, we decided to go to Belize and check out Grand Baymen last year. We were very impressed and decided to purchase a unit in the soon to be built Building D. When construction was completed, we were excited to return and bring our best friends Scott and Jennifer Pierce. We had so much fun meeting our new neighbors at the Building D Open House at Grand Baymen. The food at the party was very tasty, catered by Melt Café (love that place). Our new condo is very well built and comfortable. Thanks John Morgan and crew! We’re very pleased with ECI and Grand Baymen and are excited to see the progress happening during our next visit. The staff at ECI is fantastic! It was so nice to finally meet Rachel and Romar (and new employee, Jessica) after lots of emails. Thank you Romar for coming right over to give us the password for the wifi. And thank you Rachel for including birthday cake for us during the party. How wonderful that was! We really enjoyed the sunset catamaran cruise and snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine Reserve with our friends Scott and Jen. Karen was especially brave when she swam with the sharks and rays! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to invest in property in Belize and we couldn’t have picked a better company to do that with!
I bought in Belize because it was the best fit for me. In the short term, as an investment. In the long term, as a place to retire. In practical terms, I wanted a place that was a tropical island paradise, and a country where English is the official language.
Regarding a little about me, I am a Californian having moved to live in my retirement from my University professor role, teaching nursing to baccalaureate nursing students, to Todi, Italia in the region of Umbria three years ago. In Todi I teach Italians English at our local language school, as well as continue to study and learn Italian. I enjoy my beloved dog, Tiffany, who accompanied me on my move from the States, reading, cooking, making new friends from all over the world and knitting for my new 10 month old granddaughter in Germany.
I was introduced to Belize investment opportunities by my brother-in-law in August 2014 at the Los Angeles seminar where I met Mike Cobb and Rachel Jensen. We traveled to Belize in January 2015 at which time I purchased a condo at Grand Baymen. I really love Belize and the opportunities there.
