Before individuals are convinced to visit a new destination, invest in real estate or place money in offshore funds, they want to be sure that the nation has a solid infrastructure and a stable economy. Thankfully, Belize has both. The tourism industry is a large portion of the economy, and there are no signs that it will begin to slow at all. Banking is also an important part of the puzzle, and the favorable taxation rates on investments draw billions of dollars into the nation’s financial institutions each year. There are also a number of exports that help to bring in cash to the country.
