Central Park was jam packed with people awaiting the countdown and fireworks. While many places on the island hosted their own New Year count down, the major hot spots were: Holiday Hotel  where their usual patrons gathered to bring in the New Year.
Another hot spot was the LionÂs Den. The Den was roaring with its usual crowd by 11PM and went on through until 9AM on January 1st.
