Baymen Garden’s Building A 3rd Floor Completed!

It was a wild October on Ambergris Caye. After many sunny months, the island finally caught up on their rain quota. Not surprising, since October has historically come in as the rainiest month of the year here. But the weather didn’t slow down progress at Baymen Garden’s Building A.
Mike and I missed the third floor pour, unfortunately. We were in Florida, putting in conference booth duty when the pour occurred, on October 16th. So Grand Baymen’s on-site construction manager, John Morgan, took most of these pictures…
You may have watched hurricane Rina’s path along the coast of Belize, up to the Yucatan. As is most often the case, Hurricane Rina blew right by Belize. I experienced the tail end of this storm, while waiting to fly out of Miami. There was plenty of flooding in and around Miami. But Belize was spared from the wrath of any hurricane this season.
We missed the action during the concrete pour. But here are a few pictures to illustrate the work.
Things are moving along so well that the entire building should be enclosed by the end of November, or sooner. I asked John Morgan if this is the case and he confirmed it, weather permitting.
These photos illustrate the latest progress. The front photo of the building, from across the pool, shows how it is starting to stand out and take shape.
The picture to the left shows the spectacular Back Bay view, as seen from the west facing third floor units. I have no doubt that the owners with units on this side of the building will enjoy many memorable sunsets on their verandas… Possibly while sipping a tasty Pina Colada, Margarita, or other tropical cocktail in hand…
Three of our Baymen Garden Building A condo owners are on the island this week, checking in. They’re all gratified to see consistent progress. Now they can actually start to prepare for their move in dates…
Once the building is totally enclosed, we’ll post another progress blog.
In the meantime, we’ll be busy with several conferences that are being held here this week. And next week we’ll head to Belize City to present and participate in a Belize retirement and lifestyle conference…
